Modern Colonial Renovation
05-6090

Contemporary living room
Parker Construction not only completed a historical renovation to the exterior of this early colonial, but also gave the interior a fully modern make over. The first floor of this 175 year old house had a very small kitchen and extremely narrow stairway. Parker Construction opened the floor plan to make way for a larger, spacious modern kitchen and bar area.

The third floor of the home was completely dilapidated. Parker Construction converted the unusable space into an office and studio.

"Their dedication and commitment were unparalleled and their focus on achieving what we wanted, in the time frame we needed it done, was remarkable."

There were some logistical challenges in this renovation as well. Trying to fit an elevator into this historic 3-story structure was quite a feat. The floor plan was expertly shifted by Arris Design to accommodate the client’s technological requests. Also rigging was used to install a large stainless steel Japanese soaking tub in a very singular bathroom that was creatively designed with a floating glass counter top and ceiling tub filler.
