Before and After
Parker Construction has completed of a modern, energy efficient, riverfront residence. This 2,100 square foot home was a major renovation for the firm, while only taking 10 months to complete. This home also marks the first completion of a green home for Parker Construction.
The finished backporch.
Other green features include on-demand hot water, cultured stone and recycled glass tiles. Recycled resin-based plywood was used, as well as sprayed closed cell insulation, making the home highly energy efficient. A Nana Wall was also installed along the riverfront to not only capitalize on the stunning view, but also to provide natural light and ventilation. The river acts as the home’s natural air conditioner.
Living room with a river view
Parker Construction added windows so that every room would have a river view. Clear glass handrails were also constructed off the master suite balcony so as not to block the view of the river.
